The BIG day

The BIG day was 21 Dec (Monday).

Didnt expect this to be D day. I was alrdy 10 days overdue and still there wasnt any sign of labour. Was pretty stress. Its like everyone is asking "When is baby coming out??" So, was suppose to be scheduled to induce birth initially, but when gynea check dilation, gosh i was only 1.6cm dilated! Can you imgaine? At 41.5weeks (10 days overdue) and i am only 1.6cm dilated.... wah...

So, Gynea advised that if i go for induction, high chance not successful and might end up emergency c sect, which will waste time and money... In the end, we decided to go for c sect straight. Operation scheduled at 530pm.

Tho this isnt my first operation, I was still nervous. Opted for GA... I still remember there were 2 GA doctors.. 1 is the assistant while the other is the main one... the main doctor was a very old man... i think he shld be in his 60s... he left a deep impression on me becos... he was a loud person... so thru out the whole thing, he kept telling me "Girl, dont be scared, dont worry la hor... very fast one... will be over very soon... dont worry la hor.. No problem one." He repeated this sentence at least 5-6 times... be4 pushed into actual OT, he said like 4 times, when i was pushed inside, he said another few times more.. gosh.. so fan... acty i wasnt worried or scared one... just a little nervous and excited, but he kept telling me those stuff... ai yo.. frm not nervous, oso become scared la...

Even after i woke up from op, his voice was the first one i heard... very loud... very loud... "Halo!! Can you hear me? Can you hear me?Halo? Whats your name?" I answered with a very weak voice... and he continued "Halo! How do you feel now? Talk to me.. Come talk to ME!" So i answered again... He was so loud that until now i can still remember that incident... hahah...

After i woke up and being pushed back to my ward, there were 3 things on my mind.. 1) Is my baby out of my tummy alrdy? 2) Where am i now? 3) I am in PAIN..... Thank God that after a while, nurses gave pain-killer and i was better.... :)

And before i know, my family and besties were there in my ward. :)

Well, i didnt get to hear Michela's first cry (cos i was on GA), but i am happy to know that she is ok and healthy. Thank God.
